Ingredients:

  • 1 medium Onion (peeled & chopped)
  • ½ kilogram of Brinjals (Baingan) (tender, round and large)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp. of Green Chillies (Hari Mirch) (finely chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (chopped)
  • 2 tsp. of Cooking Oil

Preparation:

  1. Grill the brinjals on a fire until they become black in color. Remove the skin and mash them thoroughly.
  2. Heat the oil in a karai or heavy based pot and fry the onion for 1 minute.
  3. Add the green chilli and fry for another minute. Add the tomato and fry for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the mashed brinjals and salt and mix well.
