Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Plain Yogurt
- 1 cup of Sour Cream
- 3 Cucumbers (seeded & chopped)
- 1 Tomato (seeded & chopped)
- 4 cloves of Garlic (Lehsan) (crushed)
- 1 tsp. of Ground Cumin (Pisa Zeera)
- ½ tsp. Paprika
- Salt (to taste)
- Black Pepper (Pisi Kaali Mirch) (grounded - to taste)
- A few strands of Fresh Cilantro/Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania) (for garnish) (optional)
Preparation:
- In a salad bowl, whisk together the plain yogurt , sour cream, cumin, paprika and garlic.
- Add cucumbers and tomatoes; toss and chill before serving.
- For a thinner raita, add a little bit of water. And optionally garnish with cilantro/coriander leaves.
