Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Plain Yogurt
  • 1 cup of Sour Cream
  • 3 Cucumbers (seeded & chopped)
  • 1 Tomato (seeded & chopped)
  • 4 cloves of Garlic (Lehsan) (crushed)
  • 1 tsp. of Ground Cumin (Pisa Zeera)
  • ½ tsp. Paprika
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black Pepper (Pisi Kaali Mirch) (grounded - to taste)
  • A few strands of Fresh Cilantro/Coriander Leaves (Hara Dhania) (for garnish) (optional)

Preparation:

  1. In a salad bowl, whisk together the plain yogurt , sour cream, cumin, paprika and garlic.
  2. Add cucumbers and tomatoes; toss and chill before serving.
  3. For a thinner raita, add a little bit of water. And optionally garnish with cilantro/coriander leaves.
